SRK hurt on film sets, discharged

MUMBAI: Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was injured while shooting for his forthcoming film, Happy New Year, at a five-star hotel in the western suburbs on Thursday afternoon, was discharged after undergoing a CT scan.

Khan's friend and physician Dr Ali Irani told TOI, "He is fine. He has undergone a CT scan and there is no reason to worry.''  commissioner of police (west region) Vishwas Nangre-Patil said the actor refused to file a police complaint. "Since Khan was unwilling to file a case, we have not recorded statements from him or others concerned with the incident," an official said. 

A statement released from Khan's office said, "Mr Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got necessary medical aid. Mr Khan is absolutely fine now. '

मुंबई- काही दिवसांपूर्वी शुटिंग दरम्यान अभिनेता शाहरुख खान याला दुखापत झाली होती. हॅपी न्यु ईयर या चित्रपटाच्या शुट दरम्यान गुरुवारी संध्याकाळी ही घटना घडली होती. सी.टी स्कॅन करुन शाहरुखला त्वरीत डीस्चीर्ज देण्यात आला आहे.शाहरुखची तब्येत आता व्यवस्थित असुन सी.टी स्कॅन करण्यात आले असुन काळजी करण्याचे कारण नाही असे शाहरुख खानचे मित्र व डॉक्टर अली ईरानी यांनी टाईम्स ऑफ इंडीयाशी बोलताना सांगीतले. सांताक्रुझ पोलीसानी त्वरीत शाहरुख उपचार घेत असलेल्या नानावटी हॉस्पीटलमध्ये जाऊन शाहरुखची अधिकृत भेट घेतली. शुटींगजरम्यान दरवाजा डोक्यावर पडुन ही घटना घडल्याचे पोलीसांनी सांगीतले. पण सदर घटनेबाबत कोणतीही तक्रार शाहरुखने पोलीसात दाखल केली नसल्याचे पोलीस कमिशनर विश्वास नांगरे पाटील यांनी सांगितले. तसेच शाहरुखने घटनेबद्दल सांगण्याची ईच्छा वर्तविली नसुन त्यासंबधी काही स्टेटमेंट दिले नसल्याचे सुत्रांनी सांगीतले.अधिकृत सुत्रांकडुन सांगण्यात आले की, मि. खान यांना शुटिंग दरम्यान कीरकोळ अपघात झाला. त्यांना सध्या औषधोपचाराची सक्त गरज आहे. तसेच सध्या त्यांची स्थिती व्यवस्थित आहे.

Shah Rukh Khan is again all set to prove why he is called the badshah of entertainment. That he owns an IPL team and has left no stone unturned to make it a force to reckon with is well documented. But, now what he has got up his sleeves is more interesting. He has got a documentary made on the chequered journey of the team that went over like a lead balloon and rose like a phoenix from its ashes. A source told TOI, "Right from the beginning, a team of cameramen has been recording all the behind-the-scene moments of the players. They have followed the team through practice sessions, their intercity trips, official meets and so on. All of these will be put together and made into a documentary."

Ten killed in second blast in two days in Russian city of Volgograd: Official

MOSCOW: Ten people were killed on Monday in a blast on a trolleybus in the southern Russian city of Volgograd, a day after a deadly suicide bombing at the city's main train station, officials said."According to initial information, 10 people were killed and 10 were wounded" in the explosion, the spokeswoman of the local branch of the emergencies ministry Irina Gogoleva told the Interfax news agency.Reports said that the blast was so strong that the trolleybus -- a common form of municipal transport in Russian cities -- was completely destroyed.
Investigators have called the trolleybus blast an 'act of terror'.Russian news agencies quoted unnamed local officials as saying that the blast was likely to have been an attack.
"This is another act of terror, this time in a trolleybus," a investigative source told RIA Novosti.
Another source told the ITAR-TASS news agency that the blast could have been caused by a suicide bomber.
A suicide bomber killed 17 people Sunday in the attack on the train station of of Volgograd, heightening security fears just six weeks before the Sochi Olympic Games.

रशियातील वोल्गोग्रॅड शहरातील बॉम्बस्फोटात 10 मृत्युमुखी

मोस्को- रशियातील सिटी ऑफ वोल्गोग्रॅड शहरात सोमवारी सलग दुसर्या दिवशी झालेल्या बॉम्बस्फोटात 10 जण मृत्युमुखी पडली. रेल्वे स्थानकावर झालेल्या आत्मघाती हल्ल्यानंतर सुत्रांकडुन ही अधिकृत बातमी देण्यात आली. बॉम्ब हल्ल्यात 10 जण मृत्युमुखी तर 10 जण बेपत्ता असल्याचे तात्काळ दक्षता विभागाचे इरीना गोगेवेला यांनी इंटरफॅक्स न्युज एजन्सी शी बोलताना सांगीतले.  सुत्रांकडुन मिळालेल्या माहीतीनुसार या भयावह बॉम्बहल्लयात रशियन शहरातील नागरी सुविधांना पुर्णपणे नष्ट करुन सुविधांवर घाला घालण्याचा हेतु स्पष्ट झाला. हल्ला करण्याचा प्रयत्न झाल्याचे अनामिक सुत्रांनी सांगितल्याचे रशियन न्युज एजंसीतर्फे सांगण्यात आले. आतंकवादाची अजुन एक भयानक कारवाई असल्याचे आर.आय.ए ने स्पष्ट केले.  ITAR-TASS या न्युज एजंसीच्या सांगण्यानुसार आत्मघाती हल्ला करण्याचा प्रयत्न असल्याचे दिसुन येते. रविवारी झालेल्या या आत्मघाती हल्ल्यात रेल्वे स्थानक परीसरातील 17 जण मरण पावले. सोची आलोम्पिकच्या 6 आठवडे आधी झालेल्या हल्यामुळे सुरक्षायंत्रणेतही दहशत पसरली.
